PCI-DSS Level 1 Compliance
PayColab is certified as a PCI-DSS Level 1 Service Provider — the most rigorous tier of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.
Our Certification
PayColab undergoes an annual on-site assessment by an independent Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and quarterly network scans by an Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV). Our Attestation of Compliance (AOC) is available to customers under NDA on request via our contact page.
What This Means for You
Because cardholder data is captured, transmitted, and stored exclusively within PayColab's certified environment, your own systems never touch raw card numbers. For most merchants this reduces PCI obligations to the short SAQ-A self-assessment — a reduction in compliance scope of up to 90%.
Technical Controls
- AES-256 encryption for data at rest; TLS 1.2+ for all data in transit
- Hardware security module (HSM) backed key management with scheduled rotation
- Network segmentation isolating the cardholder data environment
- Continuous intrusion detection, file-integrity monitoring, and centralized logging
- Role-based access with hardware MFA for any production access
Shared Responsibility
PayColab secures the vault, APIs, and processing infrastructure. Customers remain responsible for safeguarding their API keys, securing their own checkout page delivery, and restricting dashboard access appropriately. Our integration guides document these responsibilities in detail.
Related Certifications
In addition to PCI-DSS Level 1, PayColab maintains SOC 2 Type II attestation and ISO 27001 certification, and operates a GDPR-aligned privacy program described in our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.
